Lovely article!

I know you love these confessions from an Irish childhood... I grew up with "Bird's Crème Caramel Mix"... it was one of the many reasons that I never liked custard or flan until I met you... (it was also the reason that my sister and I assumed our brother was adopted). The instant recipe was formulated in 1837, which, if nothing else, goes to show you how awesome the real version is...
